Microsoft pushes back the release of SharePoint Server 2016 from second half of this year to Q2 2016, as announced on Office Blogs. No reasons for delay were given, but we understand that MS is still in the early development stage with the new product. Public beta is planned for Q4 2015.
As for new SharePoint features, the only thing we have right now are three top focus areas: improved user experience, cloud-inspired architecture, and compliance and reporting. No details on any of them neither.
Details, – as usual, – were announced to be presented at the Ignite conference in May.
