The cloud failed. Now what?

1130176_46861162Imagine you followed up the general trend and moved into cloud… but now you wish to go back. Perhaps an administrator went rogue and corrupted your data. Perhaps someone broke in. Or perhaps you are dissatisfied with your cloud provider’s services. In any case you want to be again on-prem, when everyone else moves the opposite way.

It is not easy. Microsoft is happy to help you move anything from your servers to Redmond but getting it back may pose a challenge. Some of cloud’s functionalities are not transferable into on-premises deployment and some data can be moved only by a painstaking manual process.
